Handel in Harlem – in the first chamber music matinee of the season, the Baroque meets the vibrant soundscape of New York. The program presents the music of Baroque master George Frideric Handel in a completely new light through modern arrangements. New York-based composer and saxophonist Daniel Schnyder uniquely blends the Baroque trio sonata with jazz idioms, gospel influences, and modern rhythms. A concert that dares to look beyond musical boundaries.
