End-of-year concert

At the end-of-year concert, the musical selection avowedly follows Carl Maria von Weber's "Invitation to Dance". Dance speaks an international language, and so this evening carries the audience away musically to the most diverse of places: Johannes Brahms’ "Hungarian Dance No. 5" spreads Eastern European temperament, Arturo Marques' "Danzon No. 2" and Robert Sheldon's "Danzas cubanas" ignite South American fire, while Jacques Offenbach's "Can-Can" unfolds exuberant the joie de vivre of French variety shows.
