The 2nd Chamber Concert at the Kleines Haus features trombone music spanning six centuries. The trombonists of the Würzburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Leander Seidenbusch and Patrick Flassig, join forces with Norwin Hahn and Aaron Außenhofer-Stilz to present a concert dedicated entirely to their instrument. From Renaissance and Baroque works to popular and contemporary compositions, from sacred wind chorales to jazz, swing, and film music, a varied program awaits, showcasing all the possibilities and tonal facets of the trombone. A program that appeals not only to adults but equally to children and teenagers. A special highlight: Jan Koetsier’s rousing and humorous piece The Bremen Town Musicians, in which the audience must guess which trombone is imitating which animal.
