By purchasing a ticket, a legally binding contract is established between Mainfranken Theater Würzburg and the ticket purchaser.

Ticket prices for Mainfranken Theater are set by the city council and may be adjusted at the beginning of each season. For special events (gala performances, balls on stage, special concerts, events with catering), prices are determined by the management of Mainfranken Theater.

Mainfranken Theater Würzburg assumes liability only to the extent explicitly regulated in these conditions.

Tickets are sold at the theater’s own box office. Advance sale always begins on the 1st of a month for the following three months. If the 1st falls on a Sunday, Monday, or public holiday, sales begin on the next business day of the box office. For third-party rentals where tickets are not sold by Mainfranken Theater, the box office remains closed.

Tickets can be reserved in person, in writing, by email, by telephone, or online at any time. Orders are processed from the start of advance sales in the order they are received. Reserved tickets must generally be paid for within 14 days; otherwise, they are released back into general sale. Paid tickets must be collected at the box office no later than half an hour before the performance begins. On request, paid tickets can be sent up to 14 days before the performance for a fee of € 3.

Discounts apply to the regular ticket price. Pupils, students, trainees, unemployed persons, severely disabled persons, and volunteers (BFD and FSJ) receive up to 50% off. Subscribers of Mainfranken Theater Würzburg receive discounts according to the subscription terms. Proof of eligibility must be carried to each theater visit and shown on request. Discounts for severely disabled persons also apply to premieres, guest performances, and special events (gala performances, balls on stage, special concerts, but not third-party rentals). No discounts are available for performances priced below € 19. Combining multiple discounts for a single ticket is not possible. Mainfranken Theater Würzburg reserves the right to change discount regulations or introduce new discounts.

Groups of at least 25 people receive up to 10% off the ticket price. Group bookings can be made in writing, by email, by phone, or in person from the group allotment. The final number of tickets must be confirmed no later than one month before the performance date.

Gift vouchers and vouchers for TheaterCards are subject to the statutory limitation period. Refunds are not possible. If the price of TheaterCards changes within this period, an additional payment may be required. Vouchers for TheaterCards can also be used as a means of payment for regular tickets.

Paid tickets cannot be refunded. No compensation is provided for partially or fully missed performances, regardless of the reason.

If a performance is canceled, or if a short-term program change is necessary, the ticket price for tickets purchased through general sale will be refunded before the performance begins upon request. If tickets are not returned or exchanged before the start, the performance is considered attended, and the tickets lose validity. If the performance is interrupted before the intermission or within the first half of the program, tickets may be returned or exchanged until the end of the season. In exceptional cases (e.g., rescheduling of a performance to a new date), tickets may remain valid. Mainfranken Theater will expressly communicate such exceptions. Further claims cannot be made.

No image and/or sound recordings may be made during events. In case of violation, immediate exclusion from the theater visit may occur. In such cases, there is no entitlement to a refund. Any recordings made must be deleted or immediately handed over to Mainfranken Theater upon request and become the property of Mainfranken Theater.

Place of jurisdiction is Würzburg.
Mainfranken Theater Würzburg is neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. Otherwise, statutory provisions apply.

These General Terms and Conditions enter into force with immediate effect.
